Location. Overlooking quiet Nai Yang Beach on Phuket's northwest shore in Phuket, Thailand, Indigo Pearl is adjacent to Sirinath National Park. This hotel is one-half kilometer from Nai Yang National Park and three kilometer from Phuket International Airport.
Hotel Features. Designed to reflect Phuket's tin mining past, Indigo Pearl is a resort featuring polished colored cement floors, blackened stainless steel with brass rivets and Thai silks and floral art. Contemporary art and found industrial art also are components of the design. Rooms, cottages and suites are scattered among lagoons and jungle. The resort offers a day spa that utilizes natural ingredients in its body scrubs, wraps and massages. Recreation opportunities include swimming in three meandering pools, tennis, aerobics and yoga. A variety of dining options from four restaurants include grill favorites, Thai fine dining, casual café fare and international cuisine from European to Asian. The resort also offers banquet and conference facilities.
Guestrooms. The three-story resort includes 277 guestrooms with varying layouts and décor. All have balconies or patios with garden views. Some incorporate remnants of the island's mining past with modern design elements, while others have contrasting textures and splashes of color. Others include courtyards with plunge pools and lounge areas. Room amenities include wireless Internet access, direct-dial phones and satellite television with French, German, English and Japanese channels. Rooms also include minibars, refrigerators and complimentary bottled water.
Expert Tip. While busiest in December and January, Nai Yang Beach is relatively quiet and uncrowded during most of the year because it is in a remote area. An added attraction is a coral reef less than two kilometers offshore.
