Location. The Banana FanSea Resort is located on the Thai island of Koh Samui. The resort is on Chaweng Beach, the longest and most popular beach on the island. It is a one and a quarter hour flight from Bangkok to the Koh Samui airport and approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) to the resort.
Hotel Features. This resort has 73 modern rooms, suites, bungalows and villas. There are freeform swimming pools with spa tub, an open-air restaurant, business desk with Internet access and Thai- style massages available on the beach or in the guestroom. The Baitong Restaurant is an open-air restaurant serving complimentary buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner and light snacks all day. An á la carte menu is also on offer. There is a themed buffet five nights of the week including Reef & Beef, BBQ Beach Party and Thai Cuisine Night featuring a Thai Ponglang dance show. Watersport facilities for boating, sailing, diving and snorkeling are provided on the beach in front of the resort.
Guestrooms. All rooms have Thai décor with teak furnishings. Amenities include air conditioning, cable/satellite televisions, IDD telephones, minibars, hair dryers, coffee/tea makers and personal safes. Complimentary buffet breakfast is offered.
Expert Tip. Koh Samui is one of three inhabited islands in the surrounding archipelago. Samui has nearly three million coconut trees, some over 100 years old and 35 meters (115 feet) tall. |
