Location. The Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva is located in Geneva, Switzerland on the banks of lake Geneva and next to the Jet d'Eau. The city centre, old town and Geneva Cornavin train station are within one kilometre.
Hotel Features. Grand Hotel Kempinski is a commanding hotel overlooking Lake Geneva, the Jet d'Eau and the Alps. It was totally refurbished in 2007 and includes an indoor saltwater pool, fitness equipment and an outside sundeck. Spa facilities offer a sauna, massage rooms, a steam bath and solarium. There is a shopping arcade on the ground floor which houses a hairdresser and beauty parlour and offers underground parking. There is wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.
The Brasserie at the Grand Hotel offers all day dining in a contemporary styled room featuring a circular fireplace, modern coloured glass chandeliers and views over the lake. The Grill restaurant specialises in steaks and seafood, which can be handpicked by guests from a walk in fridge. The lounge offers spectacular views and serves snacks and drinks.
Business facilities include a business centre, conference rooms, cell phone rental and translation services.
Guests can swim at the hotel while activities nearby include water sports, skiing, boating and horse riding.
Guestrooms. There are 423 rooms built over eight floors. Decorated in warm tones, rooms feature lacquered wood panelling and modern furniture. Expert Tip. Mount Saleve makes for a breathtaking day out. A cable car speeds visitors to the peak 1,380 meters above sea level where stunning views await with the Alps to the west and the Jura mountains to the east. There's a mountain top café and numerous mountain trails to tempt the more adventurous. |

From Geneva International Airport (GVA):
Distance to Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva is 5 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The airport's train station is a 300 metre walk from the Arrivals and Departures floors. Trains link to destinations across Switzerland. All trains stop at the central Geneva Cornavin station, and departures are approximately every 20 minutes. Single tickets cost 5 CHF. Bus number 10 runs every 10 minutes to the city centre. Single tickets cost 2.20 CHF. Aero Ski Bus serves many French ski stations, and tickets can be purchased at the airport. Taxis wait in the terminal forecourt and cost about 35 CHF to central Geneva and the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Geneva is served by an excellent tram and bus network. Tickets must be purchased in advance from vending machines, and validated prior to boarding. One day passes are available, offering unlimited travel on trains, trams, buses and 'mouette' water taxis.
Driving directions. From the airport, follow signs to the city centre.
