Expert Tip. Barrio del Carmen, or el Carmen, is a very small area just north east of the old quarter of Valencia. There are numerous shops, theatres, bars and restaurants, and with its fountains and orange trees, Plaza del Carmen is an idyllic place to spend an afternoon. However lovely this area is by day, it really comes into its own at night. Packed with nightclubs, it's the place to head for a party. |

From Valencia Airport (VLC):
Distance to Vincci Palace is 15 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Airport buses run every 20 minutes between the airport's departures terminal and Valencia city centre. Single tickets cost 2.50 EUR. Taxis are available outside arrivals and cost about 20 EUR to the city centre (including an airport supplement). Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Valencia's efficient public transport system includes trams, buses, and an underground metro service. Electric buses run throughout the old city centre, connecting many of the tourist attractions. Valencia's historic city centre is best explored on foot, as many of the narrow streets are pedestrianised. National trains depart from the city centre's Estacion del Norte station, and travel to Madrid, Barcelona, and destinations along the coast. |
