Location. The Catalonia Aviny≤ is located in Barcelona, Spain, 400 metres from Barcelona Cathedral, 1.5 kilometres from Placa Catalunya, two kilometres from Las Ramblas, and 2.5 kilometres from the Barcelona Opera House.
Hotel Features. This modern hotel is situated in the centre of the gothic quarter. Deliciously dark, it dates from the 14th and 15th centuries with a 19th Century Neo gothic faτade, though the cloister, the ogival ribbed vaults, the pulpit, and choir stalls are the most remarkable artistic features. Keep an eye out for goats grazing inside the cathedral grounds. |

From Barcelona Airport (BCN):
Distance to Catalonia Avinyo is 12 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. There is an Aerobus service operating to Plaτa de Catalunya every 12 minutes, costing 6.50 EUR for a return ticket. There are taxi ranks in front of the terminal buildings, and the fare to the city centre is approximately 25 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The integrated metro and bus system in Barcelona is a cheap, efficient way to explore the city. Validate tickets in machines prior to boarding. |
