On the east side of Alphonse Island in the Indian Ocean, Alphonse Island Resort comprises of chalets and villas located right by the beach and lagoon. The 25 air conditioned chalets rest on pillars and have thatched roofs and large private verandas. All include international direct dial telephones, minibars, cable television, bathrobes, bathrooms with complimentary designer toiletries, baths and African style outside showers.
After a day on the beach, guests can enjoy Creole and European cuisine at hotel restaurant, Bijoutier, which opens onto the lagoon and the swimming pool, or relax in the resort bar, offering a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The wide choice of recreational activities includes the outdoor swimming pool, children's pool, floodlit tennis court and fishing center, as well as the beach and lagoon. Guests can borrow equipment from the hotel and enjoy a range of water activities from snorkeling and pedalos to canoeing, windsurfing and laser mini sails. The hotel also organizes fishing and diving excursions, such as St Franτois Lagoon, a thirty minute boat ride away and one of the world's premier fly fishing locations, locations, as well as boat trips to Bijoutier and Saint Franτois, the other islands of the Alphonse group. Alphonse can be reached by a one hour flight from MahΘ airport. |
