Dona Filipa & San Lorenzo Golf Resort is a large modern resort located on the Vale do Lobo estate, just 100 metres from the beach and eight kilometres from the famous San Lorenzo Golf Course, owned by the hotel. The 154 air-conditioned guestrooms are spread over five floors and all decorated in Mediterranean terracotta tones with dark wood furniture. Rooms open onto balconies with views of the sea, golf course or gardens, and include minibars,direct-dial phones, satellite television with pay movies and an Internet connection. Bathrooms include robes, hair dryers and telephones.
The hotel runs a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the San Lorenzo Golf Course, considered one of Europe's finest. This challenging 72 par 18-hole course has a club pro, golf shop, driving range and enjoys ocean views. Guests can also play at a number of other nearby courses at specially negotiated rates, including the Vale do Lobo Course, a five minutes walk from the hotel. There is also an à la carte grill restaurant and the San Lorenzo Bar offers cocktails, snacks and light meals. Room service is available around the clock. Multilingual staff at the concierge desk can help with all aspects of guests' stays including booking sightseeing trips or arranging babysitting. Guests can pick up the paper or browse for souvenirs at the gift shop. Motorists will find ample free parking and there is a complimentary wireless Internet service in public areas of the hotel. Within the vicinity of the hotel the Sao Lourenco Cultural Centre is 200 metres away,there is a health club 800 metres away and a horse riding centre 4 kilometres away.
