Hotel Tachfine is a modern hotel with traditional Moroccan style interiors, located in Gueliz, the new town district of central Marrakech, four kilometres from Jemaa El Fna square. The 50 air conditioned guestrooms feature while walls, carved dark wood furnishings and warm coloured patterned fabrics. From the airport, Bus 11 runs to the centre of Marrakech every half an hour although services can be unpredictable. There are taxi phones in the arrival and departure lounges and taxis can be caught near the bus stop. It is recommended that tourists agree the price before commencing the journey. The smoothest way to travel around Marrakech is in one of the fleet of beige coloured 'petits taxis' for short trips, or for adventures further afield, the 'grands taxis', generally battered beige coloured Mercedes.
