Location. The Resort at Mundo Imperial is located in Acapulco, Mexico, in the city's Punta Diamante district. Tres Palos Lagoon is less than five kilometers from the resort. The hotel is also less than 12 kilometers from downtown Acapulco and La Quebrada.
Hotel Features. Opening in March 2009, the Resort at Mundo Imperial features an 805-room hotel complex, a convention center, an entertainment promenade and a concert hall. Forum, the resort's 4,000-seat arena, showcases live performances. Mundo Imperial's promenade offers shops, six restaurants and four bars. Dining highlights include restaurants that specialize in seafood, contemporary Mexican food, and Mediterranean cuisine. Il Duomo, the resort's convention center, features more than 730,000 square feet of space. Other highlights include six outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool. Tucked in a corner of the resort, the Sol Imperial Spa & Wellness Center offers beauty and relaxation treatments. The hotel also offers activities for children, teenagers and pets. Additional amenities include a volleyball court, tennis court, and a fitness center.
Guestrooms. Each guestroom at Mundo Imperial features a private balcony with resort views. Amenities include 32-inch flat-panel televisions with satellite channels. Guestrooms are also equipped with iPod docks and complimentary wireless Internet access.
Expert Tip.
The cliff divers of La Quebrada remains one of Acapulco's enduring symbols and tourist attractions. Using bravado and skill, divers leap into the air and plunge 45 meters (145 feet) into the sea. This attraction is about 12 kilometers from Mundo Imperial.
