Location. The Tamassa hotel is located in Bel Ombre, on the southwest coast of Mauritius, 12 kilometres from the town of Souillac.
Hotel Features. Opened in 2007, the three storey Tamassa hotel is built in colonial style. The spa has 16 treatment rooms, a whirlpool, sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy room. There is a hair salon offering beauty services. The hotel has a lounge bar and a nightclub. The teens' club has games machines, a pool table, and table football, and organised activities. The kids' club, for 3 to 12 year olds, has a dining room, a sandpit and a rest room, and is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The public areas have wireless Internet access. Complimentary parking is available.
The Tamassa's main restaurant serves regional specialities and international dishes in a contemporary setting. The beach restaurant and bar serves Mediterranean food. A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided daily. The all inclusive rate incorporates breakfast, lunch, dinner and local alcoholic drinks. The half board rate includes breakfast and dinner.
Windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks, sailing, snorkelling, glass bottom boat rides and water skiing are all available at the adjacent beach. For a surcharge, speedboat rides, diving and deep sea fishing can be arranged. There is a gym on site, and beach volleyball and floodlit tennis courts. An 18 hole championship golf course can be found next to the Tamassa hotel.
Guestrooms. The 214 guestrooms have contemporary decor and wooden furnishings. All are equipped with LCD televisions with satellite channels, DVD players, and wireless Internet access. Rooms include air conditioning, safes, and minibars. Bathrooms have bathrobes, complimentary toiletries, hair dryers, and makeup mirrors. The hotel offers all inclusive and half metres.ates.
