The Voile D'Or Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront property with Dutch and British influence set amid lush casuarinas trees, 10 kilometres from Le Val nature park. The 181 guestrooms combine Portuguese and Moorish styles and include high speed Internet connections, balconies, safes, satellite television and DVD players. Bathrooms come with bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers.

The hotel offers a number of dining options: Pousada 1507 serves a range of international dishes in an informal Portuguese style setting, Sirocco offers Mediterranean and Mauritian dishes on the beachfront, and Maison Coloniale, housed in the Colonial Club House, is an intimate restaurant specialising in seafood. In the early evening, guests can visit the amphitheatre which becomes a stage for exotic Sega and African dancers. Practical amenities include a 24 hour front desk and a multilingual concierge service on hand to offer sightseeing assistance. Chamarel, Bois Cheri tea plantation and Grand Bassin lake are all 32 kilometres away and Mauritius International Airport is 35 kilometres away, taking approximately 90 minutes to reach by car. |
