Location. The Days Inn and Suites Aqaba is located in Aqaba, Jordan, in the heart of the hotel zone, 500 metres from a beach on the Red Sea and from the city centre. Aqaba Airport is nine kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Days Inn and Suites Aqaba is a modern-built hotel, decorated with soft colours throughout in Nabatean style. It offers complimentary access to the beach and also has an outdoor pool. Services include currency exchange, high speed Internet and laundry. There is complimentary secure parking and the hotel has security.
The Mina restaurant at the Days Inn and Suites Aqaba serves international dishes with a choice of a la carte or buffet. The restaurant is on the top floor, with a view over the city and the Red Sea. An outside terrace is optional for all meals. A poolside bar serves drinks, ice creams, pastries and other snacks. The lobby bar serves cocktails.
Two meeting rooms are available, accommodating up to 250 people.
The hotel is on the Red Sea, where scuba diving is a popular sport, but where there are also facilities for jet skiing, motor boating, fishing and windsurfing. Aqaba is also a good base for mountain climbing. Horseback tours are available.
Guestrooms. The 86 guestrooms at the Days Inn and Suites Aqaba are decorated with creams and soft colours while furniture is modern. All are air-conditioned, with satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, minibar and modem lines. Room service is on offer 24-hours. There are ten suites and deluxe rooms have a sea view. Non-smoking rooms and rooms with connecting doors are available and rooms are equipped for the handicapped.
Expert Tip. Wadi Rum desert can be explored by jeep, by camel, on horse or on foot. The sites include Lawrence's spring, where Lawrence of Arabia reputedly watered during a revolt, the Nabatean Temple, sand dunes, canyons and the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, named after Lawrence's book. |
