Location. Set overlooking the coast, the Mare Club hotel is situated 500 metres from Amalfi town centre, 10 kilometres from Ravello. Naples Capodichino Airport (NAP) is 50 kilometres away and can be reached in around one hour by car.
Hotel Features. The Mare Club hotel features its own private beach, which is situated at the bottom of a cliff and reached by two lifts. Multilingual staff on the front desk can provide room service (limited hours), and other amenities include laundry facilities, dry cleaning services and complimentary newspapers. Airport transfers can be arranged on request (surcharge).
Coffees, wines, pastries and snacks are served in the Mare Club American Bar, which extends onto an open air terrace that offers sea views. Traditional Italian dishes, sandwiches and salads are served in the beach restaurant, which is open for lunch from June to September.
Guestrooms. The Mare Club's air conditioned guestrooms are spread over three floors. All feature Mediterranean decor and antique style furnishings and extend to balconies or terraces. Amenities include satellite television, minibars, complimentary newspapers and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and showers or spa baths.
Expert Tip. The mountain road between Sorrento and Salerno hugs the Amalfi Coast, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for its rugged terrain, scenic beauty, picturesque towns and diversity. The best way to explore what is arguably one of the most attractive coastlines in Italy is to drive from the former fishing village, Positano, 15 kilometres from the hotel, passing through Furore Valley, Amalfi and Ravallo. |
