Location. The Thalassa Sea Side Resort is located in Kamari, on the island of Santorini, Greece. The city ruins of ancient Thira are 100 metres away. Ferries arrive and depart from Athinios Port, 10 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Situated on the black sands of Kamari beach, the Thalassa Sea Side Resort is built in an Aegean Cycladic architecture, inspired by the Greek Islands and the sea. There is a fresh water swimming pool situated in front of the beach and surrounded by sunloungers and umbrellas. The hotel offers massages, facials, and body treatments with products inspired by the sea.
A complimentary breakfast is available each morning at the hotel. Asterias Gourmet Restaurant is an open air restaurant situated on the beach and surrounded with torches and candles to give a romantic feel to the dining atmosphere.
Guestrooms. There are 60 guestrooms available at the Thalassa Sea Side Resort, all equipped with air conditioning. Guestrooms extend to balconies or verandas. Amenities include satellite television, wet bars, direct dial phones, and safes.
Expert Tip. The ruins of the 11th century BC Dorian settlement of Ancient Thira is situated 100 metres from the hotel. The ruins belong to the Hellenistic and Roman phases and show evidence of temples, houses with mosaic floors, an agora, gymnasium, and a theatre with views over the sea. |

From Santorini Airport (JTR):
Distance to Thalassa Sea Side Resort is 4 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis from the airport to the resorts cost around 15 EUR 25 EUR. A bus runs to Fira bus station every two hours, and single tickets cost 1 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Bicycles are available for hire at most resorts and mopeds are a good way of exploring the island. Regular local buses run to destinations throughout Santorini. Ferries depart from Fira port to other nearby islands. A cable car is available for travelling up the volcano. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas of the island. |
