Location. The Galini de Luxe is located in Agia Marina, Crete, within 200 metres of the private beach and the resort's shops.
Hotel Features. The Galini de Luxe is housed in a contemporary, air conditioned building, which extends to two outdoor swimming pools, one for children. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, and fitness room, as well as a shopping gallery and hair salon. There is a games room with billiards and air hockey.
The Galini de Luxe's main restaurant offers international dishes, and the traditional taverna serves Cretan and Greek dishes. A small snack bar is poolside. A complimentary buffet breakfast is available. The all inclusive rate incorporates breakfast, lunch, and dinner, snacks, soft drinks, minibar items, and a range of branded alcoholic drinks including cocktails and most spirits. The half board rate includes breakfast and dinner.
The conference facilities host up to 200 delegates with open air terrace, presentation technology, secretarial services, and a wireless translating facility.
A complimentary shuttle service is provided between the hotel and its private beach, where water sports from jet skiing to scuba diving are available for a surcharge. A children's club runs in the summer.
Guestrooms. The 128 guestrooms at the Galini de Luxe are decorated in cream tones with dark wood furnishings. All rooms are air conditioned with satellite television, Internet connections (surcharge), direct dial phones with voicemail, safes, and minibars. Bathrooms provide hydromassage showers, bathrobes, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. All rooms have balconies with sea views. The hotel offers all inclusive and half board rates.
Expert Tip. A path runs through the Samaria Gorge between the monasteries of Gouverneto and the ruins of Katholiko. The Cave of the Bear on this path contains a chapel and a bear shaped stalagmite, legendarily a bear transformed by the Virgin Mary as punishment for drinking the monks' water. |

From Chania Crete Airport (CHQ):
Distance to Galini de Luxe is 22 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Bus services run from the airport to Chania and then to the hotel. A taxi direct from the airport costs around 30 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Agia Marina is compact and easily accessible on foot. The hotel minibus runs shuttle services to the beach. Public bus services connect to Chania and other resorts. Scooters and bicycles can be hired in most towns. Taxis are reasonably priced. A car is recommended for exploring further afield.
Driving directions. From the airport, follow signs for Chania and then for Kastelli/Kissamos.
After Chania, follow signs to the resort area of Agia Marina and then signs for Galini de Luxe, located up above Galini Beach Hotel.
