Location. The City Hotel Ansbach is located in Berlin, Germany, within 200 metres of the Europa Centre and Berlin Zoo, and one kilometre from the Reichstag. Wittenbergplatz, Berlin's oldest metro station, is 50 metres away.
Hotel Features. Situated within 50 metres of Berlin's main shopping streets, City Hotel Ansbach is a modern seven storey hotel. The hotel's shuttle service provides transportation to and from all major Berlin airports (surcharge). Safe deposit boxes are located at the 24 hour front desk, and staff can assist with transportation and tourist bookings. Secure parking is available on site (surcharge).
A complimentary buffet breakfast with a selection of cereal, meat, cheese, bread, and juice is served each morning in the hotel's breakfast room. Decor is bright, with pastel coloured tablecloths and draperies.
Guestrooms. The 60 guestrooms have bright, contemporary decor in neutral colours with modern furniture. All are equipped with televisions, telephones, and wireless Internet access. Tiled bathrooms have showers, and hair dryers are available on request.
Expert Tip. Built in 1906, the Department Store of the West, known as KaDeWe, is the largest of its kind in continental Europe. Spanning seven floors, it has a glass lift which rises to an expansive food court on the top level. It's a food lover's dream, with choices ranging from fresh seafood and champagne to international specialities. |

From Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL): Distance to City Hotel Ansbach is 12 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis are available in front of the terminal's lower level and cost about 15 EUR to the hotel. The number 109 airbus runs to Zoologischer Garten station, which is on the U Bahn (underground system). The X9 is an express airport shuttle, connecting to central Berlin, the main train station, and the Zoologischer Garten U Bahn station. All buses leave from the upper level. Tickets should be validated prior to boarding. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The best way to get around Berlin is to use its public transport system (BVG). Travel on buses, trains, ferries and trams, as well as all U Bahn (underground) and S Bahn (over ground) services, is covered by one ticket. |
