The President Hotel is a modern hotel set on the green island of Zamalek between two branches of the River Nile, 10 kilometres from Coptic Cairo. The 116 air conditioned guestrooms include satellite television, telephones, minibars, fireplaces and private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations.
After a complimentary breakfast, guests can relax with a coffee in the air conditioned lobby or use the Internet facilities (surcharge) in the business centre to plan days out. Staff on the 24 hour front desk can assist with laundry or dry cleaning requirements or lock valuables in the hotel safe. Room service is available all day for snacks and drinks. La Terrace restaurant is situated on the 11th floor of the hotel with panoramic views of the city and serves continental and oriental cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. . The Cellar is an English pub style bar which serves food and drinks from noon until midnight. Guests will find the Khan el Khalili Bazaar and historic churches and museum of Coptic Cairo ten kilometres away, the Pyramids of Giza 20 kilometres and the Sphinx 25 kilometres from the hotel. Cairo International Airport is 35 kilometres away and takes around 60 minutes by car.

  Black and white taxis are available from the airport to central Cairo and leave from outside the Arrivals hall. Buses are available from the airport to central Cairo. An airport bus service operates from Terminal One (Old Airport). Bus service 400 leaves approximately every 30 minutes during the day and every hour at night. One of the best ways to explore Cairo is by the new Metro system, which is inexpensive and not too crowded. Buses and minibuses are still the most common form of transport for Cairenes, but taxis are a better option for visitors. Boats depart frequently for University, a landing over on the Giza side of the river. Every second boat continues south to Manial, Rhoda, Giza and Masr al Qadima (old Cairo).
