Location. Iberotel Grand Sharm overlooks the Red Sea and is located two kilometres from the centre of the town of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Hotel Features. This three-storey hotel, built in a traditional Egyptian style, overlooks its own private beach with a jetty which leads out to two coral reefs. There is kids' club for children aged between 4 and 12, and occasional evening entertainment is provided for adults, including live music, dance, and folklore shows. A complimentary daily shuttle bus runs to Sharm El Sheikh town centre and Naama Bay. There is a hair salon offering beauty treatments on site, as well as a dedicated concierge desk. The air-conditioned public areas have wireless Internet (surcharge).
Restaurant Caravanserai serves an international buffet and has regular themed evenings. La Seppia Restaurant & Bar serves an à la carte Italian menu and has Red Sea views, and there are also poolside and beach bars. The half-board rate includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner.
There are three outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated in winter, plus a children's pool. Fitness equipment is available, and there is a sauna and steam room. Other leisure facilities include miniature golf, beach volleyball, and two floodlit tennis courts. There is a diving centre nearby.
Guestrooms. The 292 air-conditioned guestrooms have light contemporary decor, modern furnishings, and balconies. All rooms have satellite television and high-speed Internet connections (surcharge). Other standard amenities include safes and minibars. Complimentary toiletries, hair dryers, and makeup mirrors are all provided in the bathrooms. The hotel offers a half-board rate.
Expert Tip. Ras Mohamed National Park, 35 kilometres from the hotel, has 800-metre reef walls, an extraordinary variety of underwater flora and fauna, plus rather a lot of sharks. |
