Location. The Faros Holiday Village is 15 kilometres south of Larnaca, Cyprus, on the tip of Cape Kiti. Larnaca International Airport is 10 kilometres away, and the old city of Larnaca is 15 kilometres distance.
Hotel Features. The resort is a village style complex of bungalows and suites, interlaced with gardens, in sight of the Mediterranean. The 24 hour front desk serves coffee, and there is free parking.
The Atlantis Restaurant at the Faros Holiday Village serves buffet and α la carte menus. There are theme nights each week, and meals can be enjoyed indoors or poolside. There are also two bars, one poolside and one on the beach. Twice a week there is live music, and a regular theatre and cabaret entertainment also run. Most meals and drinks are complimentary for guests on the all inclusive rate plan. Guests not on the all inclusive rate plan will be charged for meals and drinks.
The Faros Village has a heated outdoor swimming pool and a children's pool. There are onsite facilities for aerobics, basketball, volleyball and tennis. Other facilities include miniature golf course, a playground, and a beach for jet skiing, water skiing, rowing, sailing, and windsurfing. To explore the wider landscape there are mountain biking, bike and scooter rentals.
Guestrooms. The 134 guestrooms of the Faros Village are ground level bungalows with private verandas. The 12 first floor luxury suites have balconies, tiled floors and simple decor in cream and brown. All have air conditioning and safes. The hotel offers all inclusive and half board rates.
Expert Tip. For wildlife the Mazotos Camel Park was opened to bring camels back to Cyprus; they were a common sight in the 1960s. You can ride a camel to the nearby beach. The salt lake near Larnaca is also home to migratory flamingos. |

From Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Distance to Faros Holiday Village is 10 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis from the airport cost around 8 CYP to Faros Holiday Village and 10 CYP to Larnaca, with other destinations costing approximately: 25 CYP to Nicosia, 20 CYP 30 CYP to Avia Napa, 22 CYP 25 CYP to Protaras, 25 CYP 30 CYP to Limassol, and 55 CYP to Paphos. Buses 22, 19 and 24 run to Larnaca city centre and intercity buses run between major resorts and the airport. No buses run on Sundays. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The best way to explore Larnaca and Cyprus is by car. Towns and villages are connected by public buses, with tickets being relatively cheap. The government regulates taxi fares.
Driving directions. From the airport turn left towards Limassol. Pass the two roundabouts and at the traffic lights turn left. At the end of the road turn right. The first village is Meneou. Entering the village turn left and follow signs for the beach. At the end of the road turn right and continue alongside the seaside. Faros Holiday Village is on the left side, three kilometres from the last turn. The hotel is distinguished by its red roofed bungalows. The reception is located at the end of the bricked pathway. |
